He further said that the suspect took the two donkeys to a nearby bush and tied their legs before having his way with them.
Barasa said Koech had developed the habit of romping donkeys and added that this was the second time to catch him in action with two different donkeys. Two weeks before, he was seen performing the same act on another two donkeys. It would seem that Koech can not be satisfied by one donkey
"My donkeys normally feed and sleep here in this fields and this is not the first time to catch this man doing this act, first I caught him last Wednesday and warned him after begging for forgiveness and promised never to repeat it, now it’s only four days after the incident he has returned to do the same," said Barasa.
The suspect tried to escape from the crime scene and dashed into a maize plantation but Barasa raised alarm attracting members of the public who pursued him and managed to arrest him.
The angry residents threatened to lynch him before his father John Kiplagat intervened and begged for forgiveness on his behalf.
The suspect was later set free and given the two donkeys as his wives after Mzee Kiplagat promised to compensate Mr. Barasa for damage caused on the two animals.
The act has been strongly condemned by the area residents who said it has greatly lowered their dignity. The two donkeys were seen grazing in Barasa’s farm.. oblivious of the events that had transpired.
