Popular Nollywood actress, Ini Edo has confirmed her crashed marriage rumors, revealing why she filed for divorce from her U.S based businessman husband, Phillip Ehiagwina.

The actress' marriage was said to have crashed over five weeks ago but the news surfaced few days ago. It was rumoured that the actress was always beaten by her husband because she cheats on him.

To this end, the bride price was said to have been refunded to the groom's family as his family will not take any thing unpalatable from her, especially because she did not get pregnant throughout the almost 6 years of their union.

The actress made it known from her tweet that yes, she and her husband are now divorced though not on cheating grounds but because of irreconcilable differences. She however pleaded with many not to use the avenue of her marital crisis to tarnish her image.

It would be recalled that just recently, Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot asked fans to pray for the actress to get pregnant before the end of the year.
