Ghanaian afropop, dancehall and reggae artiste, Stonebwoy won the award for Best International Act Africa at the 2015 BET Awards held last night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
He topped the category which included nominees such as Sarkodie, A.K.A, Fally Ipupa, Sauti Sol, The Soil, Wizkid and Yemi Alade.
This was Stonebwoy's first ever nomination for the international award. Many Ghanaians have taken to social media to congratulate him for scooping the award, which almost every musician from Africa dreams to be honored with.
This year marked the ceremony's 15th anniversary year that the BET Awards have been televised (since 2001).
