When 14-year-old Grant Botti from Arkansas woke up on the morning of June 30, 2015, it was just like any other day - until he noticed a severe pain in his ear.
He put a finger in his ear and what he found shocked him, his mother and doctors. Grant pulled out a four-inch centipede!
According to KATV, Grant's mother, Angela, took her son and the bug to the hospital. Doctors examined him and noted that the centipede had "caused abrasions to his eardrum and ear canal."
Grant was treated and released. His mom said they are not sure how the bug got there. However, she did mention that Grant had been outdoors swimming recently.
Doctors and nurses at Saline Memorial said they have pulled all sorts of objects from people's ears, but finding a centipede there was a first.
