You're Older Than Buhari But Hiding It With Make-Up - Borno Women Blast Patience Jonathan

A women group under the auspices of retired civil servants in Borno state have put the first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan on blast, alleging that she is older than Gen Moammadu Buhari, the APC presidential aspirant.

The group led by Dr. Aishatu Gulde said it decided to speak out after tolerating Patience Jonathan's outburst over a period of time.

According to Daily Post, the women who spoke at leaders a press conference organized on behalf of women and mothers in the state on Wednesday, March 18, said they have had enough of the hate speeches aired on NTA and AIT.

"We are here today because we have been pushed to the walls and anyone that is pushed to the walls has to react. We can no longer fold our arms to watch them say all manner of things against our son, General Muhammadu Buhari. What they are saying is a slap on our faces as women of northern extraction. They say we gave birth to children and throw them on the streets to become Boko Haram."

"The First Lady has never come to Borno state but we have seen her supporting even other countries; never has she come to see for herself what the Borno people are actually passing through. She only sits in Abuja and passes judgement on what she knows nothing about. Our governor is trying. He has not rested. His wife has not rested but the President and his wife are not giving them breathing space. Enough is enough as we cannot continue to watch them treat our people as second class citizens."

The women alleged that President Jonathan had hired Fayose, Fani Kayode and Elder- Edwin Clark, who are suppose to be people of high intellectual acumen, to spread hate speeches against the person of General Muhammadu Buhari.

"The president has his enemies within and they are people like Fayose, Fani Kayode and Edwin Clark. They are abusing our governor to the extent that, Fani Koyode is saying that the governor will go to jail over the Chibok girls’ issue. We are calling on them to stop this hate speeches as we do not want division in the north between Christians and Muslim."

The women also alleged that Patience was using makeup to cover her aging face, claiming that the first lady is older than Gen buhari.

"Patient is saying that Buhari is an old man and recently they stoned the convoy of Buhari's wife. If Buhari is old, I believe that Patient Jonathan is not any younger than Buhari to say the fact because as a woman we know how women hide their age behind make-ups to look younger, therefore, we are saying enough is enough."

"I been told that I look much better now and finally black men stopped saying I'm too pretty for a dark skinned girl. Now I'm a pretty light skinned girl. No matter what. 20-year-old Isaac Martinez was shot in the shoulder by a shooter in in Mesa, Arizona, after he refused to give up the keys to his car. But instead of calling for help immediately, the restaurant worker decided to first take a selfie of his bullet wound and posted it to social sharing site Snapchat.

When the suspected shooter, Ryan Giroux, approached Martinez demanding the keys to his car, he refused and Giroux fired at him. For anyone who didn't get enough detail from the photos, Martinez gave his 1,200 Facebook friends a point-by-point account of how the shooting went down.
"He (the suspect) came in and demanded my keys for a getaway car. Of course i said no, and next was him pulling out a gun and cocking it. Soon as i saw it i started stepping back. And yelled for everyone to step back and get down.

"Next thing i knew i was hitting the ground, got up as fast as i fell, and ran out the back exit. At the same time the assailant had started taking off in my chef instructors [sic] car. When i saw he had gone. I noticed the cops and fire trucks down the street and went there." He followed up the picture with an update of how he was doing.

"So im home and well! I have no complicated injuries and should heal fine," Martinez's Facebook posts says. "I had a bullet hit me from behind and go through my shoulder and out my coller area. Any higher or lower it coulda hit a artery, or shatter my shoulder blade. It was a miracle hit."

Martinez continued to update his social media followers throughout his recovery, posting a picture of himself in a hospital bed, with the gunshot wound visibly showing. Martinez is living proof that if getting shot doesn't pull someone away from his phone, nothing will.

6,000 Pastors To Pray On 7 Mountains For Buhari's Victory

With only a few days to the general elections, no fewer than 6,000 pastors in South West Nigeria are mobilising for the emergence of Major-General Muhammadu Buhari as president in the forthcoming elections, while rejecting President Goodluck Jonathan.

According to them, they were acting by divine intervention from God who told them that Buhari would be the next president of Nigeria, pointing out that they were not bribed by anybody to support Buhari.

The pastors, under the aegis of Christians for Governance, 'Pastors For Change' have also declared seven days praying and fasting for God to grant the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate victory at the poll.

The clerics, drawn from various churches, such as the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Catholic, Orthodox, among others have openly endorsed Buhari and Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, his running mate.

Speaking on behalf of the Pastors, at a news conference in Ikeja, Lagos, Bishop Kayode Williams, National Coordinator, Christians for Good Governance, said:

“We want to observe seven days of special prayer on the seven mountains in the Southwest political zones comprising six states to pray for the victory of Buhari and Osinbajo in the 28 March presidential election.

“We are using this opportunity to call on all pastors who believe that the time has surely come for change in Nigeria to exhort, mobilise, instruct and direct all our members from our churches, numbering 186,000 churches in the Southwest zone to adhere to this divine instruction from God.

“We shall intensify our intercessory prayers to God so that there will be peace in the nation and that the election will be free, transparent and peaceful. We are asking our archbishops, evangelists, elders, deacons and deaconesses to join hands and make sure that the prayer programme is very successful.”

He noted that the present leadership had failed the nation, adding that Nigerians had hoped for improvement in various sectors but nothing has been done and that is why the group is calling for change.

“No one can do the same thing and expect different result. Nigerians must therefore get a change in baton. It appears that many people at the top do not feel what an ordinary Nigerian feels: No job, no money, no light, health problem, sorrow and frustration everyday due to massive corruption at the top. All these must change. Nigerians deserve good life in the midst of all the resources that God has endowed us with,” Williams stated.

Speaking on the N7 billion bribery allegation against the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), he denied knowledge of any money collected, but added that every rumour has an element of truth.

The movement is being supported by Rev. Moses Iloh, Archbishop Magnus Atilade, Ayo Opadokun and many other bigwigs in Christendom.

The 'Toxic' hitmaker - who has sons Sean Preston, 9, and Jayden, 8, with ex-husband Kevin Federline - has affirmed that she is a "bitch" although her own interpretation of the word differs from circular opinion.

The 33-year-old shared a poem on Instagram, which is entitled 'Bitchology' and reads:

"Being a bitch means...

"I stand up for myself and my beliefs. I stand up for those I love.

"I speak my mind, think my own thoughts or do things my way.

"I won't allow anyone to step on me. I refuse to tolerate injustice.

"It means I have the strength and courage to allow myself to be me.

"So try to stomp on me, douse my inner flame,

"Squash every ounce of beauty I hold within.

"You won't succeed.

"And if that makes me a Bitch, so be it. I embrace the title and I'm proud to be a Bitch!"

The 'Work, Bitch' singer - who is dating Charlie Ebersol - recently revealed she is in no rush to release a new album because she is busy with her sons.

She said: "I'm gonna do [a new album] slowly but surely. There's a lot going on with my kids and schools and, you know, adding new sports and stuff like that. I'm gonna try to do my best to do an amazing album, but it's not my full priority right now."

If delectable songstress, Waje's New Year's resolution was to drop some weight, then she has achieved a level of success this year. The 'I Wish' crooner, who used to be known as a chubby lady has lost several pounds and she seems proud of herself.

Speaking to Punch'sSaturday Beats, she said comments about her weight depressed her;

"I reduced my weight because I watched my performance on screen one time and I was shocked. When you are on screen, you add ten pounds and there was a time I was performing and it was shown live. I did not like the comments on twitter and it made me depressed for a while. I had to make a decision if I wanted to enjoy life and call myself a fat person or I could live a better lifestyle. As a female brand, I am a visual brand and when you look good, people tend to take you more seriously. You also feel smarter, so I had to start thinking in that direction.

"The weight loss was intentional and the reason was because I wanted to live a healthier lifestyle. I just want to reduce my food intake, especially junk foods. My stylist is hoping I get slimmer because it is easier to style slim people. For slim people, you can get clothes off the rack but for people like me, we have to make the clothes most of the time," she said.

Cast Your Votes And Go Home, No Waiting At Polling Booths - IG

In the past, after voting during elections, many Nigerians stay back at the polling booths, to witness the votes being counted. But the Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba has said no one should wait at the polling booths.

The IG said, "Two to three police officers will be attached to each polling unit, and we would provide more officers for the collation centres and for the managers of the elections.

"We will go on to protect the electorate. Every eligible voter should feel safe enough to cast his votes. We will be there to protect the votes and make sure no one disrupts the process.

"Cast your votes and go and cool down. If you remain there, there is a likelihood that you will commit an offence.

"Asking voters to wait and protect their votes implies taking the law into their own hands. It is unacceptable. We have heard some people are threatening to declare election results; we hope it is not true. If you don't accept the declared result by INEC (Independent National Electoral Commission), the best way is to proceed to the tribunal."

In advanced democracies, people don't take the law into their own hands but resort to tribunals.

"The refusal to accept the result and resort to extrajudicial activities is a threat to the electoral process. But where they don't heed the appeal, the police will act within the law to protect the electoral process."

Abba urged the public to remain steadfast in collaborating with policemen to stamp out crimes, "as the police have perfected strategies to prepare a safe and secure ground to guarantee hitch-free March 28 and April 11, 2015 elections."

Chris Brown's Probation For Assaulting Rihanna In 2009 Is Over

Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin ended Chris Brown's felony probation on Friday, more than six years after the R&B singer brutally attacked his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, hours before the Grammy Awards on February 8, 2009.

The attack erased Brown's squeaky clean image, which he has failed to regain in the ensuing years after incidents such as throwing a chair through a window after a contentious "Good Morning America" interview and a parking lot brawl with singer Frank Ocean. Brown's career has partially rebounded, with the singer performing at the 2012 Grammy Awards and winning a trophy for best R&B album.

Brandlin's decision marks the first time since mid-2009 that Brown will not be under the supervision of court or probation officials. The singer initially avoided problems with the case, but since 2013 has struggled to complete his community service obligations and had his probation revoked in January after he performed a show in Northern California without permission.

Brown and his attorney Mark Geragos hugged in the courtroom and again in a courthouse elevator. After the hearing, he tweeted, "IM OFF PROBATION!!!!!!!! Thank the Lord!!!!!!"

The case forced Brown, 25, to confront some deep personal issues: he says he witnessed domestic violence as a child and while in rehab, he was diagnosed as bipolar, a condition exacerbated by his frequent marijuana use.

The singer has alternated between appearing contrite and polite in court to defiant and angry on social media and in public appearances. Although he maintains a sizable and supportive fan base, known as team breezy, the case has stunted his career.

In February, Canadian immigration officials refused to allow him into the country, forcing him to cancel two shows, and British officials blocked his entry in 2010 forcing the cancellation of four performances.

The singer lost several months of his touring schedule last year dealing with repercussion from a fight in Washington, D.C., and issues he encountered in rehab.

"I couldn't be more delighted," Geragos said after the hearing.

"He is in a spot right now and a place right now that I couldn't be prouder of him," Geragos said of Brown. He said Friday's hearing was "a monumental feat for him."

A Farmer Noticed This Hole In A Rock, But What's Inside Has Astounded The Whole World

The Son Doong cave in Vietnam is the largest cave in the world. A tour inside the cave is something extraordinary; it contains a jungle, a river and it has plenty of room for a skyscraper with 40 floors!

The enormous cave is located 280 miles south of the capital Hanoi, in the Vietnamese national park Phon Nha-Ke Bang. Tag along in this underground world and be inspired by nature's beauty.

Son Goong translates to mountain river cave. It was created 2-5 million years ago by river water eroding away the limestone underneath the mountain.

It was found in 1991 by a local farmer, but the first people who actually explored the cave were British experts in 2009.

The cave as a whole is estimated to be 87 miles long.

It contains its own animal life, lakes, rain-forest, beaches and a river.

Many caves have relics from a prehistoric age, like statues or paintings on the mountain walls. But nothing compared to what has been found in Son Doong.

The first tourists visited the cave in 2013.

Guided tours are available. They last for 7 days and visitors can spend their nights camping inside the cave. The total cost per person is around $2300.

The cave has also rare pearls that are formed when water laden with minerals dripping from a cave's ceiling, falls too quickly to form a stalagmite. Instead, the dripping water forms a small ball of mineral deposits that grows into a small mineral pearl.

I'm A Trendsetter, People Copy My Style - Halima Abubakar

$

Popular Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar has opened up on her style and why she's a trendsetter. Read excerpts from her new interview with Adeola Olonilua;

You are known for your love for revealing clothes…

That was in the past. I was a young girl experimenting with fashion and I stopped when I got tired. I did not change my style because of anybody. I wasn’t doing anything extraordinary; it was just a short dress or bum shorts. When you look at my age at that time, it was a normal thing that a teenager does. I grew out of it but in movies, I wear skimpy clothes sometimes. I don’t wear them off set any more. I need to be responsible to my fans and my family. My parents do not like me wearing short things. My mother says if I want to wear such, I should cover my hair. She says if I want to wear miniskirt, I should cover my hair but it cannot be covered in every movie. The funny thing is that at home, I do not wear skimpy dresses. I don’t know how people were able to single me out of the crowd. I was just a teenager having fun.

Do you see yourself as a trendsetter or you follow trends?

I am definitely a trendsetter. I’m eccentric and weird in my style. Sometimes, I don’t get it right but I am happy with the result. I’m always glad that I’m not copying anyone. In fact people copy me. When I started colour blocking, it was just for the fun of it and not because I did not know that I should not have more than three colours on my outfit.

So, you started the colour blocking trend?

Yes and people were criticising me but shortly after, they started doing the same thing. At a point, I outgrew that phase. I just believe people judge too much.

What is your fashion weakness?

It is definitely shoes. When I was growing up, I did not have so many shoes. Now that I am grown, I think I over do it because I have a room full of shoes in my house and my friends call it the shoe boutique. I have over 400 pairs of shoes and my mother has warned me against buying anymore because most of them still have their labels on them. I give them out a lot to my fans.

Are there disadvantages being a curvy lady?

For me, it has a lot of disadvantages because people think I am fat because my bum is big. I am a small lady but because I am curvy, I look short. It could be so annoying when someone says I should lose weight because I am fat. When someone’s stomach is big, there are reasons for it. I have ulcer but they conclude that I eat too much.

If Buhari Is Elected, It Will Be A Disaster For Africa - Ex-U.S. Diplomat

$

A former spokesman for four United States Ambassadors to the United Nations, Richard Grenell, has said that it will be a disaster for Africa if Muhammadu Buhari, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), becomes Nigeria's President.

"Western foreign policy observers pre-occupied with the rise of ISIS in the Middle East should wake up to the reality unfolding in Nigeria. Opposition candidate General Buhari wants Sharia law throughout Nigeria. In fact, he wants it everywhere.

"Is this an indication that Buhari supports violence because the end goal of the terrorist attacks throughout Nigeria and Africa is an Islamic state? It is a legitimate question that should be asked by leaders of the Obama administration.

"Boko Haram has pledged its allegiance and support to ISIS. The Northern Nigerian based Islamic terrorist group wants Sharia law throughout the country and beyond. They are also actively terrorising Chad, Niger and Cameroon with their goal of an Islamic state.

"Buhari has also spoken sympathetically about members of the terrorist group Boko Haram, has cautioned against a rush to judgement on its members and has personally been selected by the terrorist group to lead its negotiations with the Government of Nigeria.

"Buhari's election as Nigeria's head of state would be a disaster for Africa. It would also signal trouble for the West's fight against ISIS and terrorism throughout the Middle East." he said.

Watch These Zambian Children Getting Clean Water For The First Time. Their Reaction Will Humble You

$

Imagine if you had to walk two miles to get drinking water for your family everyday. That's what many of these children in Zambia and many parts of Africa, have to do three times a day. They have dreams of going to school. Watch what happens when their village gets clean water for the first time.

This makes me so grateful that I have a roof over my head, running water, and food in my fridge. Please share this post with your friends and family. [Click here if you can't see the video]

EVERY CHILD DESERVES CLEAN, SAFE DRINKING WATER.

More children die from diseases caused by unsafe water than HIV/AIDS and malaria combined. It’s tragic that 1,600 children die every day from diarrhea because they lack something as simple as clean water.

Scarce, dirty water also locks people into poverty. Clean water not only gives life, it makes it possible for kids to attend school, for families to provide adequate nutrition, and for communities to prosper.

For the first time in history, we have the technology and resources to bring clean water to every child. I firmly believe we can solve the global water crisis within our lifetimes. It is an opportunity and a challenge that my colleagues and I refuse to ignore. That’s why we’re launching one of the most ambitious water campaigns ever, and we need you to join us.

1. Historic Impact - World Vision is already reaching more people with clean drinking water than any other non-governmental organization—an amazing one new person every 30 seconds.

We believe we can provide clean water to an additional 5 million people in the next 3 years. It may sound impossible, but it’s already happening. With help from private donors who have made an unprecedented commitment to match every dollar donated, this mission is absolutely possible.

Together, we will transform entire communities for generations, unleashing them to reach their God-given potential. It will be a major blow against poverty and set the stage for completing the job in the coming years.

2. A Lasting Solution - We partner closely with each community to provide clean water access and improved sanitation and hygiene solutions that meet their specific situation. This approach ensures communities feel ownership of their water points and are able to maintain and repair them. Because of this, we’ve seen that water continues to flow from water points built by World Vision for decades after they’re built.

Plus, every water project is a part of a larger community involvement model, built over 60 years, that focuses on a full solution to address health, education and employment challenges.

3. Total Transparency - You will always know where your donation is going. You will hear directly from the amazing people running the projects and see the faces of the children you’re helping.

As far as we’re concerned, we’re all in this together. We’ll pull back the curtain in every way we can think of, so you’ll always know what we’re doing and why we’re doing it.

Join us. I hope you’ll take up this challenge, give a little more of yourself, and demand much more from us.

We’re just getting started and there is much to do.

Please visit World Vision to find out how you can help.

God bless,

Dr. Greg Allgood, Vice President, World Vision.

Just Few Days To Election, Read What Happened At Tinubu's Lagos House

Just few days to the presidential election, soldiers have been spotted in full force around the house of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Bourdillon Street in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The soldiers, just like between February 8 and 10 were seen also in many parts of Lagos State yesterday in a show of force ahead of the nation’s general elections. Leadership reports that the soldiers in full fatigue and helmets carried out their display in many parts of the State, including the front of the private residence of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Bourdillon Street in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The soldiers were said to be in 10 armored trucks, patrolling repeatedly the frontage of the residence of Tinubu who’s revealed not to be in his house. The soldiers however put the family members of the politician in distress with their looks and the manner in which they patrolled the whole environment.

A media aide to the former Lagos state governor confirmed the news saying that “The soldiers were first noticed on Sunday about 3:50pm. They were stationed about 500 meters away from his(Tinubu) gate. But Asiwaju (Bola Tinubu) is not in Lagos and there is nothing to bother about,” he added.

Between February 8 and 10, a similar siege was laid on the residence of the voluble politician. APC has been concerned about the security of Tinubu whom they alleged has been penciled down for arrest before next Saturday’s presidential polls. Leadership however made it known that the “show of force” was carried out by a joint team drawn from army, Navy, Air force, Nigeria Civil Defence, State Security Services and the Police.

Gist swirling around online is that actresses Tonto Dikeh and Halima Abubakar who used to be chummy friends have gone their separate ways allegedly over a 'Jujuman'.

According EtceteraLive, sources in the know allege that Halima Abubakar took Tonto to sample the powers of her juju priest who became enchanted by her looks and preferred working for her instead of his usual customer, Halima.

Halima allegedly got upset and could not stand the fact that she got sidelined by her own juju priest which resulted in her writing off Tonto and telling her to stay away from her for good.

A staff of EtceteraLive called Halima at about 2PM on Friday to confirm the story but she demanded for a text message to be sent to her instead. Further attempts to reach her proved abortive until about 11:32PM when she finally picked and said in her own voice, "this is Halima's PA, she will get back to you later."

The same sources also said that Tonto does not like tattoos; she uses them to mask incisions gotten from her visits to her juju priest. EtceteraLive is still investigating the matter.

No be small thing oh.

'He Wanted To Perform All Kinds Of S£x Styles With Me' - Wife Tells Court

A middle-aged woman, Toyin Ayinde, has urged an Agege Customary Court in Lagos State to divorce her 20-year-old marriage. She is accusing her husband, Mudashiru, of being promiscuous.

Tribune reports that the petitioner, a businesswoman, said her husband sleeps with any woman.

“When we got married, we didn’t have enough and we were contented with whatever we had but when we became comfortable, my husband began to womanise. He sleeps with anything. He lacks good taste,” she said.

The mother of three told the court that her husband keeps claiming that there is no wealthy man who doesn’t womanise.

“To let you know how loose he is, five years ago, I was admitted to a hospital because our last child had jaundice after delivery. My husband, who is slack when it comes to women, had an affair with a nurse.

“I once woke him in the middle of the night to advise him. He cried and promised to stop the act. As I speak, there are no changes,” she said.

Toyin said her husband’s relations sent her out of his house because she refused to have s£x with him.

“I refused to have s£x with him because I could get infected if he continued to sleep around. Also, he wants to try all styles of s£x with me which I strongly disagree. It’s been almost a year since I moved out of his house. His relations have been pleading with me to go back to him but they don’t know what I am facing. He is loose and I can’t cope anymore,” she added.

Responding, Mudashiru did not deny the allegations. “Everything she said is true. I support our marriage dissolution,” he said.

President of the court, Mr. Adekunle Williams, advised the couple to reconsider their positions and adjourned till April 9.
